Today is the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, when Peter, James and John witnessed a radiant Jesus speaking with Moses and Elijah on the top of a mountain. You can read the Gospel for today here. These two mighty figures from the Old Testament represent the law and the prophets, and the vision represents Jesus as the fulfillment of both. Maybe this feast is an opportunity to notice and appreciate an everyday blessing in your life that often goes unnoticed?
The Church of the Transfiguration is on the top of Mount Tabor, and we will be celebrating Mass there during our pilgrimage. It's a winding road up (and down) that mountain, so we'll be transferred there in vans rather than our motor coach!
