Inga, the Director of Operations at Catholic Travel Centre, is currently traveling with a group in the Holy Land. Here is her update:
I spent last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Jerusalem with one of our groups. We went to Bethlehem one day and our group had to stay in line at the Nativity church for 1.5 hours. That tells you that there are a lot of groups in the Holy Land. A day after that we were at Gethsemane, packed again. We had a beautiful Mass at Dominus Flevit and we did all the sites on Mt. Zion in the afternoon. I am up at Tiberias area now with another group and again we run into other groups all the time. We are staying at Leonardo Plaza hotel and our dinning room was full of mostly American groups. We all just stay focused on the pilgrimage. Our office in Jerusalem and our guides and drivers are monitoring situations very carefully. The program gets reviewed for each day and if necessary, slight changes are made in order to avoid any discomfort for our people. We stay in a group, we travel, pray and eat together and everybody is having a wonderful time.
